Front to Back House is a compact mews house in Islington London for a private client. Our brief was simple, avoid the view of any light fittings and ensure that the light maximises the feeling of space within the house.
Front to Back House is a compact mews house in Islington London for a private client. Our brief was simple, avoid the view of any light fittings and ensure that the light maximises the feeling of space within the house.
The huge central skylight delivers plentiful amounts of daylight, and the artificial lighting mimics this with fittings concealed at high level to deliver the light in a natural way to the rest of the house, this approach was used through-out.
By controlling the lighting with a simple central system, light could be borrowed throughout the house creating a bright and beautiful space in which to live.
